Just a reminder that double demerit points for certain traffic offences are now in effect for the WA Labour Day weekend. The double demerit period commenced at midnight Thursday 28 February and lasts until midnight Monday 4 March.
Double demerit points apply to the following traffic offences:
- Speeding;
- The illegal use of mobile phones;
- Seat belt offences;
- Drink driving;
- Presence of prescribed illicit drugs, or fail to supply oral sample or blood; and
- Contravene Red light/stop sign/traffic control arrow.
